News: As a member of the Board of Trustees of United Way, Mr.
Clooney
has been a
generous supporter of United Way's efforts to rebuild
lives and
communities devastated by the 2005 hurricanes. Knowing
that the
rebuilding in the Gulf Coast will take years and require
significant
financial resources, Mr. Clooney offered to have his
78th Annual
Academy Awards(R) Gift Bag auctioned off with the
proceeds
going to benefit the United Way Hurricane Response and
Recovery
Fund.
